If we’ve learned anything from our 20+ years in the print industry, it’s that this is a people business. Our Employee Spotlight series highlights the amazing people behind PageDNA. We’re excited to showcase our employees and give you a behind-the-scenes look into what it’s like to work at PageDNA.
We’re excited to kick off our 2025 Employee Spotlights by introducing our newly minted Vice President of Customer Success—Jon Benditz!
About Jon
Jon came to PageDNA almost seven years ago after 20+ years in the print industry. He got his start in the print industry at the age of 17 when he began working for a commercial printer, where he ran the press, did graphic design, and helped wherever he could.
Jon brings a unique perspective to PageDNA, shaped by his extensive career journey. After spending eight years working with PageDNA’s platform in a previous role, Jon continued to expand his expertise at another company before eventually joining our team. His diverse experience gives him a deep understanding of customer needs, making him a valuable asset in helping our clients achieve success!
Jon’s PageDNA
What has your experience been with the PageDNA company culture?
I was one of the first full-time remote employees at PageDNA when I joined in 2018. Back then, everything was based out of Seattle, and I traveled to the office every few months for our quarterly meetings. Even though I was remote, everyone was so welcoming, and I loved seeing them in person and learning that we were all “nerds” in our own ways.
In 2020, we went fully remote, but that culture of teamwork and closeness didn’t go away. Everyone still focuses on doing the work and keeping the customers happy. Our team is all over the country, but everyone is just a quick call or message away.
What have been your biggest accomplishments on our team?
I’m most proud of shortening our implementation process. Doing this allowed customers to achieve success faster and more frequently. When I first started, implementation took almost four times longer than it does today. Currently, our average implementation time is 69 days, but I still think there are ways to improve!
How have you grown professionally while on our team?
I started here almost seven years ago as a production manager. From there, I moved on to being a professional services manager, to the director of professional services, and now to being the VP of Customer Success. Complacency is not in my vocabulary—I always want to keep growing and building, and I want our customers to do the same.
What changes have you seen at PageDNA in your time, and what have those changes resulted in for you, your team, and PageDNA’s customers and partners?
The biggest change I think I’ve seen is going from an office environment to being 100% online. Even though I was already fully remote, this change brought everyone together because we had to figure out the change as a team. Being 100% online allowed us to grow more, and it also made it easier to connect, ideate, and work faster and better to support our customers, partners, and one another.
What’s the most unique part of working at PageDNA?
The autonomy. Everyone has something they’re doing, but we’re all helping to build PageDNA in our own way. Everyone can provide input and know that the whole team is listening to what they have to say. We also make it a point to ensure transparency across PageDNA. For example, there are two company lunches every month where we dive into what each department is working on.
What is the day-to-day of your role like?
Well, I’m just starting out in this new role, but as the VP of Customer Success, I work across different teams to ensure we’re supporting our customers (and potential customers) in the best way possible. Mainly, I work with the implementation and professional services teams to provide onboarding for new customers, build out new projects, and lead implementation. I also reach out to customers personally and work with existing customers to ensure their needs are being met.
Out of the Office
What’s a skill you have that might surprise people?
It might not surprise people who know me, but I have a second-degree black belt in Krav Maga.
What is the best advice you have ever received?
The best advice I ever received came from a friend in one of my graphics classes when I was 17 years old. At the time, I had just begun my career in the print industry and was working part-time at a commercial printer. My friend’s brother worked at the same company, and my friend told me to contact his brother about securing a position operating the printing press. That one suggestion led to two decades in a career that I love.
What is your favorite place you’ve traveled? Where is a place you’d love to travel to?
I love to travel and visit new places. Plus, whenever I do travel, I always look to see if there is a customer there and will visit them. Right now, my favorite place I’ve visited is Key West, Florida. It’s a beautiful city with good food and a fun atmosphere.
The bucket list place I’d love to travel to is Ireland. I feel like I would love it.
