Self Administration

Putting the power into your hands.

Since all PageDNA ordering sites are part of a web-based, or "hosted" application, all administrative functions are available to your internal team through each site's configuration menu - or "Menu" for short. The Menu contains a set of "Point & Click" web pages and Wizards that control every aspect of an ordering site. Improvements and new features are rolled out weekly to all sites and a monthly newsletter keeps you up to date with our rapid product development.

What's On The Menu?

Configuring customer ordering sites is easy with the Menu. For example you can edit any copy found on the site, change the site "look and feel" to match your customer's graphic identity, upload content such as addresses or lists of billing codes, add new static or variable products to the site... all from a centralized, web-based interface compatible with any modern web browser.

PageDNA offers an almost dizzying array of self-configurable features including Order Approval, Imposition, Real-time Credit Card Authorization, Real-time UPS or fixed Shipping rate calculation... to name a few. All of these features are configured through the Menu interface.

Site Wizard

When you first start a new ordering site, a "Site Wizard" is provided to help guide initial site configuration. The Wizard asks questions and helps configure everything needed from the site's look and feel, to shipping options, to order approval options, and more.

Item Wizard and the Excellent Graphics Grabber, or "EGG"

One of the most frequently used tools in the Menu, The Item Wizard guides site builders through adding, editing or cloning items on an ordering site. For variable imprint items, a prepared artwork file can be uploaded and the EGG ("Excellent Graphics Grabber") reverse engineers the layout including font, block and layout settings. You can then use the Block Editor to change settings, or hand-code advanced typesetting needs. We put the power of custom programming into your hands.

Distributed Administration Functions

The powerful "Knight External Users" Menu item gives internal administrators the power to dole out selected Menu tools to external administrators. For example, many sites feature a list of billing codes that must be maintained. The Menu item for Uploading Billing Codes could be "knighted" to a designated external user who would be able to login to the Menu to change billing codes - but nothing else. The goal is to give other administrators enough access to make changes, but not give unnecessary access that might present security or other concerns. Other commonly knighted features include Address List Editing and Shipping Management Functions.

Online Searchable Documentation

PageDNA offers hundreds of pages of searchable documentation available in HTML, PDF and Word formats. Downloadable Video Tutorials covering common configuration situations are available 24/7. We update documentation weekly and a list of all additions and changes is distributed monthly via our Product Newsletter.

Included Training and Support

To help our customers become more self-reliant, we offer free training for all active customers along with world-class phone and email support.

As with any custom software, PageDNA recognizes there is a learning curve involved to learn how to handle demanding customer requirements. As such, PageDNA offers active customers free phone training if they wish to learn to build their own site. For customers in a crunch or lacking internal resources, PageDNA offers low quotes for site production.

We are constantly improving the software and welcome our customers' requests for new features and improvements.

Unmatched Support and Uptime

We decided early on to focus on customer support as our top priority. In the three years since developing our own email-based support tracking system, PageDNA has logged and responded to over 27,000 requests. All issues are tracked and unassigned issues are discussed and assigned in daily meetings. Our median response time during business hours is under an hour for the majority of all inquiries.

Our server uptime goal is 99.95% and we have hit this target since data has been collected. We are constantly refining our internal tools and architecture in response to our growing, sophisticated user base.
